Akoya

A person who is both incredibly helpful and suspiciously clever. Roland believes Akoya is smarter than he acts and pulls more strings than he lets on. He also is still not sure of Akoya's gender and doesn't think it's important enough to ask.

Audrey

A girl whose home is a place where everything is man-made and there are no living trees. She seems kind enough.

The Beast

A demon, that much is obvious. He can call himself whatever he pleases but Roland knows one of his kind when he sees them. He seems less overtly threatening than the usual demon, but Roland still doesn't trust him one bit.

Beatrice

A good girl who hides that goodness under a thick layer of sass and indifference. She's also taken on the role of adoptive bird daughter, though Roland would never call her that consciously given how much parents and fathers especially mean in his world.

Bill

a demon who smiles too wide and laughs too loud. Even without the backstory Roland's learned from Ford, he wouldn't trust Bill to be anything other than dangerous.

Ford

A man of science. Has fairly extensive experience with demons and the occult. He knows his way around a fight, but needs to learn restraint and find the courage to face his own inner demons (pun intended). Probably the person Roland most considers an ally on par with his own skills.

Jade

Roland isn't sure what to make of Jade. She's a bubbly young woman who has also traveled dimensions and held the fate of at least one universe in her hands. He thinks there's a lot to her below the surface and he's interested in learning about her and her past in more detail.

Ralph

Roland doesn't know Ralph well, but his impression is favorable. Ralph is a soldier and seems dedicated to preserving the safety of the people of Waverly Bay, both things Roland can respect.

Rick

A strange and unpleasant man. In no way acts his age and has a very different conception of what 'fun' is than Roland does. Not bad at improvisation, though.

Stan

Ford's brother? Ford's brother. They have the same face. Roland doesn't know him well yet but he's seen enough to know that Stan is very different from his sibling.

Susan

Roland's first and only true love. Was dead, but has been given a second chance at life in Waverly Bay. Roland's going to teach her to sling guns whether she likes it or not.

Yg'Baladoth

A demon, and a young one at that. While there's no doubt she's dangerous, she strikes Roland as immature and childish. He doesn't trust her and he doesn't even particularly like her, but he finds her intriguing and intends to keep a close eye on her.

Yu

An observant and thoughtful young man. While Roland doesn't know him well, his first impressions are good ones.
